In
the year 2001 Mamata Educational Society was granted
the permission to start a separate Dental College and
Teaching Dental Hospital for BDS Course. The response
has been encouraging. Located in the same campus but
at a decent distance with the College builtup area of
1 lakh Sq.ft. buildings and has some of the best doctors
in the field of teaching and training the students with
their rich experience. Each year 100 students are admitted
in this specialized course. The facilities in Mamata
Dental College are the best with the best of facilities
of laboratories like phantom lab, Dental Material Lab,
Oral pathology lab and Museum made available to the
students.The Mamata Dental Hospital has 200 dental chairs
installed in different departments like Oral medicine
and Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics,
Conservative dentistry, Peroidonctics, Pedodontics,
Orthodontics and Community dentistry. Latest OPG &
IOPA X-Ray machines are installed in the Hospital for
better diagnostics. Separate teaching areas with audio
and visual aids are provided in all these departments
in addition to the lecture halls with each 150 capacity
equipped with LCD projections and audio facilities.
No wonder then that you will always find our students
smiling with joy. The students of Mamata Dental College
have the benefit of utilizing the facilities available
at Mamata Medical College and Hospital. Separate Hostel
facilities for Boys and Girls with attached toilets
are provided. Staff quarters for the teaching staff
are available with in the campus.
