Mamata College of Nursing

Mamata Educational Society has started Mamata College of Nursing in 2002 with the approval of the State Government. This was started to create job opportunities to the local students. College started with  intake of 40 students  and subsequently the same was raised to intake of 100  by the State Government. College is also offering M.Sc Nursing in 5 specialities from 2010.  The Nursing College is affiliated to the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences and is recognized by the Nursing Council of India. The Nursing College has a separate building measuring 20000.00 sq. ft.

B.Sc. Nursing that inculcates efficiency, sensitivity and courtesy along with adequate knowledge of nursing. This Degree Course is a 4 years Course where in nurses are well trained and equipped to handle situations ranging from emergencies to minor ailments. During the period of training nursing students are given practical instructions by senior ward staff. Keeping in view of growing global demand for B.Sc. Nursing candidates, Mamata intends to have collaboration with USA, UK, Australia, Canada and Middle East Countries for providing man power from our Nursing College. Residential facilities for the student nurses as well as the nursing staff are provided with all the essential amenities within the campus.

The students get hands on training in the 840 bed Mamata General Hospital which is the teaching hospital of Mamata Medical College. Students share all common facilities of medical college departments.
